Columbia Pictures is an American film studio and production company that is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment, a division of Sony Corporation of America. Founded in 1919, Columbia Pictures is one of the oldest film studios in the world. Over the years, the studio has produced some of the most popular films ever made, including "Gone with the Wind," "The Wizard of Oz," "Citizen Kane," and "The Godfather," as well as more recent films such as "The Social Network," "Men in Black," and "Spider-Man." Columbia Pictures has also been involved in television production, distributing shows such as "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune."
